A crew member at the site of a building explosion in the town of Lafoe. And then there’s News Eight’s Jake Reyes. He will join us in the town of Lafoe and tell you what is happening now. Jake. Caitlin, in Lafoe County, Lancaster County, when the building exploded around 6:00 a.m., people were all outside, and everyone on the road was evacuated. We now know that no one was injured. good. And we do know that around 6:00 a.m., workers entered the warehouse building and smelled a propane leak. I’ve heard that the feeder and heater may have fallen from the ceiling and that may have caused the leak. There are many paramedics here. In fact we were brought back by an ambulance at the corner of Colebrook and Fairview. And we’ve been talking to some residents in the area. Some of them say they are traumatized. Just hear what they had to go through today. And one of the residents we spoke to actually had debris fly towards his house. And his house has some damage. And, and, and his car. Now, I don’t know if you know that there is also rubble in the church parking lot near where we are now. There is no estimate of the amount of damage at this time, but I have heard that the damage was enormous, especially for neighboring houses. I’m now inundated with emails from people in the area who also woke up to the boom this morning. And as emergency workers keep clearing the smoke so that it can be seen in the distance, many people are gathering here today. It’s very smoky here. I can still smell it, even from where I stand. A building exploded in Lancaster County Wednesday morning and was felt for miles away. WGAL has heard and felt from viewers in York County, Dauphin County, Lebanon County, Lancaster Township, Columbia County, East Hempfield County and West Hempfield Township. Explosion at a warehouse building in the Rafo district. Here’s a sample email sent to us by a viewer: “The last explosion was felt at my house in East York this morning. Do you have any idea?” It was just then.” Explosion. I know this because I searched the internet if there was an earthquake. We live 19 miles away on Millcross Road in Lancaster and wanted to say this. I never imagined that I would feel an earthquake so far away. I’m glad. I heard there were no injuries reported. “The explosion at 971 North Coalbrook Road shook my home in Randysville, near Hempfield High School. It must have been massive.” “I was in Dauphin County London, near Middletown. Being in Delhi township.Heared an explosion.Distant boom and could feel vibrations in our residence at 6:01am this morning…according to google maps we is 14 miles in a straight line from the address of the incident.” “Explosion. There were a few explosions, and they certainly shook me out of bed.” “What was that loud noise in Mountville before 6:00 a.m.?” The house shook. “We heard and felt the explosion here at Block 2500 on Ironville Pike. The house shook!!” Fortunately, no one was injured in the explosion. I walked out of the building early this morning smelling propane, somehow the propane caught fire and the building tilted, other buildings nearby were also damaged, we were damaged I’m updating the main story here with new information.

Luckily, no one was hurt in this explosion.
Rafo District employees walked out of the building early this morning smelling propane. Somehow the propane gas ignited and leveled the building. Other nearby buildings were also damaged. I’m updating the main story here with new information.
