New Starbucks under consideration at local city planning conference

Hermitage, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – The Hermitage City Planning Commission will discuss land development plans for the construction of a new standalone Starbucks store.

The land development proposal was submitted on April 10th. According to planning reports, Starbucks is a 2,400-square-foot building with a 576-square-foot patio.

The city already has a Starbucks at Hermitage Plaza on N. Hermitage Road.

A possible new location would be at the intersection of Buhl Farm Drive and East State Street. It was the home of Denny’s, which was demolished last year.

The Planning Commission is asking the land owner, TCD DR HPA LLC, to meet several conditions to approve the plan. This includes approval of the PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit, completion of the City Engineer’s Stormwater Management Report, and his DEP approval of the Planning Module.

The planning committee will meet at 8:30 on Monday morning.
