Disability and Seniors Expo Opens in Elk County

ELK COUNTY, Pennsylvania (WTAJ) – Rep. Mike Armanini (Republican, Clearfield/Elk) will host the Disability and Senior Resources Expo in partnership with Life and Independent for Today (LIFT).

The event will be held on Tuesday, July 25, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Elk County Catholic High School in St. Mary’s (600 Maurus Street). Participants can receive information about medical, transportation and wellness programs.

“This free event is a one-stop source of information and resources not only for the elderly and people with disabilities, but also their caregivers, families, supporters and friends,” Armanini said. “We are delighted to work with LIFT to bring this expo to life. Attendees will no doubt leave with valuable information.”

Specialized health care providers will also perform tests such as pulse oxygen saturation, heel scan, blood pressure, and grip strength. A takeaway lunch will be distributed and a door prize will be awarded.

The Elks County Sheriff’s Office will also stand by to collect unused medication.
