Weiss Market to recall ice cream sold in Pennsylvania due to undeclared allergens
SUNBURY, Pa. (WHTM) — Weis Markets announced Wednesday, November 23, that it has issued a recall for Weis Quality Sea Salt Caramel Ripple Ice Cream.
According to the company, some of this ice cream container may contain undeclared soy and coconut allergens. Consuming this product may cause a serious allergic reaction.
The container says Weis Quality Sea Salt Caramel Ripple Ice Cream and the lid says Weis Quality Caramel Caribou Ice Cream. The ice cream comes in round containers with UPC 041497-01288, sell-by date 11/08/23. This he created on 11/08/22. The expiration date is printed on the bottom of the container.
This product may have been distributed in 197 Weis Markets stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Delaware and West Virginia.
