Two killed in bullet-filled car on Interstate 680

Youngstown, Ohio (WKBN) — Two people were killed when their car was filled with bullets on Interstate 680 North around 11 p.m.

The female passenger died on the way to the hospital and the male driver died at the scene.

The car they were driving stopped just before the Belle Vista Avenue exit of the freeway.

Lieutenant Mohammad Awad of the Detective Service said the car was badly damaged in the shooting.

“Someone assassinated these two,” he said.

Casings are strewn about 75 yards on the highway.

These are the first two murders of the year. Last year in Youngstown he had 22 murders.
