Tiffany Fletcher, Philadelphia Parks, Funeral Held for Wreck Worker Killed by Stray Bullet – NBC10 Philadelphia

City leaders and community members in West Philadelphia will meet Monday for the funeral of a Parks and Recreation employee. Killed by a stray bullet outside the Rec Center where she served.

The funeral service for Tiffany Fletcher, the 41-year-old mother of three who was shot at Mill Creek Playground earlier this month, will be held at the Mission Rescue Church.Complimentary shuttle service from playground to church is available in the community beginning at 8:45am

The worship service is scheduled for 9:00 am and the funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am.

Fletcher was described as someone who cared greatly about her community and responded to calls for service.

“She was a wonderful girl. She loved everyone.

Fletcher was involved in a shootout at Mill Creek Playground, according to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Frank Vanore.

Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Commissioner Kathryn Ott Ravel said Fletcher only started working at the Rec Center this spring and needs more staff to keep the pool open over the summer. I listened to the request, said Ott Ravel. She worked as a pool maintainer and agreed to stay over the summer to work at a recreation center located within two blocks of where she and her family lived.
