Scattered showers and thunderstorms possible in the Lehigh Valley Thursday

Scattered showers and thunderstorms could come through the Lehigh Valley on Thursday afternoon.

The National Weather Service said there is a slight chance of rain after 1 p.m., followed by a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday night into Friday morning.

Forecasters said Thursday will be humid, with a high of 86. The weekend is expected to be mainly sunny with highs in the 70s and 80s.

Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 10 a.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. West wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57. West wind 5 to 15 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 78. West wind around 10 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 58.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 87.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 63.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 90.

Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 86.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 65.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83.
