Authorities were searching on Saturday for an escaped inmate from a northwestern prison described by police as a “very dangerous person”. Pennsylvania Officials said they were using bed sheets.
Warren Police said Michael Barham was last seen wearing a blue denim coat, white and orange trousers and orange shoes from prison.
Police said Barham was in custody on arson and burglary charges and was a suspect in a murder investigation. Police say he was also involved in a previous carjacking and kidnapping of a local couple.
“He is considered very dangerous and the public is urged to be vigilant and to report anything unusual,” police said in a Facebook post.
Several streets were blocked and homes were surrounded in Warren, Pennsylvania, on Friday night, according to sources. local media coveragebut by Saturday the suspect was still on the run.
Authorities said the man climbed onto exercise equipment and used bedsheets to bind him before fleeing.
The Warren Police Department has informed the public that Mr. Barham is also known for his outdoor survival skills and is familiar with the area and its terrain.
Helicopters, drones and several law enforcement agencies are involved in the search.
