Over $80,000 May Be Granted to Community Food Warehouse and Trails End Conservancy
HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – Governor Tom Wolfe announced Tuesday that veterans’ offices and organizations across the state will receive millions of dollars in funding.
According to the press release, 14 Pennsylvania County Veterans Affairs offices will receive $200,000 in grants, and 34 charities or veterans services organizations will receive $1.15 million in grants from the Veterans Trust Fund (VTF).
The Veterans Trust Fund (VTF) also funds charities whose mission is to serve the veterans of Pennsylvania. Among these is the Mercer County Community Food Warehouse. According to a press release, $50,000 may be granted to provide nutritional food for veterans and their families.
In addition, we can provide $31,954 to provide interactive equine therapy services to veterans of the Hermitage’s Trails End Conservancy.
“The Veterans Trust Fund will help fill gaps in service to veterans that are otherwise unfilled,” said Gov. Wolfe.
