Oprah Winfrey said Thursday that she would vote for Democratic Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman over Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz in the race she must win in the Pennsylvania Senate election.

“If I lived in Pennsylvania, I would have already voted for John Fetterman for many reasons,” Oprah said.
With Election Day less than a week away, polls show Fetterman and Oz are in a hot race in Keystone State. With Republican Senator Pat Toomey retired, the race for a seat in the Senate is seen as one of the most competitive in the country as Democrats try to maintain a slim majority in the Senate.
Fetterman, who is recovering from a life-threatening stroke in May, accused Oz of being an out-of-touch elitist and a carpetbagger from New Jersey. accuses him of being left-wing and lenient on crime, and questioning whether he is healthy enough to serve in the Senate.

“So there are clear choices out there, dynamic candidates working to represent the values. This is what we are talking about. , the value of compassion, the value of community, our sharing,” said Winfrey.
