National Weather Service confirms second York County tornado
The National Weather Service in State College confirms a second tornado touched down in southern York County last week.The EF1 tornado with an estimated maximum wind speed of 105 mph was on the ground for about three minutes on Aug. 7.The tornado traveled for about half a mile and was up to 75 yards wide.It touched down at 5:02 p.m. on the south side of North Church Street in the village of Blackrock. Several trees were damaged as the tornado moved northeast to Glenville Road. According to the NWS report, one outbuilding was destroyed and another had a roof collapse. The EF1 tornado with an estimated maximum wind speed of 105 mph was on the ground for about three minutes on Aug. 7.
The tornado traveled for about half a mile and was up to 75 yards wide.
It touched down at 5:02 p.m. on the south side of North Church Street in the village of Blackrock.
Several trees were damaged as the tornado moved northeast to Glenville Road.
According to the NWS report, one outbuilding was destroyed and another had a roof collapse.
No one was injured.

Update to previous tornado report
The NWS also extended the track of the other York County tornado that touched down in East Hopewell Township near Lentz Road.

There was also a tornado in Lancaster County on Aug. 7.
