Missing Cortland, Ohio man found safe
BAZETTA TWP., Ohio (WKBN) — A missing Cortland man has been found safe after a countywide search that lasted several hours Sunday evening.
Multiple departments across Trumbull County were working Sunday evening to find him.
According to police, the 35-year-old Cortland man was reported missing shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday, when he was believed to have left his home on foot. Due to a brain injury, there was a concern for his safety from family and law enforcement.
Multiple Trumbull County departments — including crews from Howland, Cortland, Mecca and Bazetta townships — helped with the search, which lasted several hours. Ohio State Highway Patrol also assisted.
According to the Howland Township Police Department, the man was found safe in the area of state Route 46 shortly after 7 p.m.
