Punksutawney, Pennsylvania (WTAJMore) — Six more weeks of winter or early spring? Punxsutawney Phil will be making predictions Thursday morning at Gobbler’s Knob.
As Bill Murray once said, “Well, today is Groundhog Day… See you soon,” but at least this year, you don’t have to risk snow at your Punksutawney bed and breakfast.

Phil saw his shadow in 2022, so he got another six weeks of winter. It was the 107th time the seer of visionaries had seen his shadow since the tradition began in 1887.
In 2021, The Inner Circle had to close Gobbler’s Knob to protect the Punksutney Phil from COVID-19. When fans were allowed in in 2022, two big Phil fans decided it was the perfect place to tie the knot and get married under the stars.
Festivities really exploded around the world after the release of Groundhog Day starring Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell Nearly 5,000 people have attended the event since the film debuted 30 years ago, and it now stands at around 35,000.
