Girard’s Petro Truck stop where semi-truck catches fire

GIRARD, Ohio (WKBN) – Firefighters responded Tuesday morning after a semi truck caught fire in Girard.

Firefighters from the Wethersfield Fire Department were called to the Petro truck stop on Salt Springs Road just before 3:00 a.m. and the cicada was on fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the cicada fully involved, and firefighters began extinguishing and overhauling. No one was injured in the fire.

The crew was assisted by the Girard Fire Department, Lane Life Trans, Wethersfield Police, and Trumbull County 9-1-1. The Girard Fire Department provided mutual aid.
