Double shooting leads to crowd terror in northern Philadelphia, police say – NBC10 Philadelphia
Two shootings in North Philadelphia early Saturday morning that wounded two people shook a crowd of about 100 outside during the shootings, officials said.
Several gunshots were reported in the 6200 block area of Cecil B. Moore Avenue at approximately 12:38 a.m., according to Philadelphia police. At the scene, officers found a 22-year-old gunshot victim with a gunshot wound to the leg.
He was transferred by police to Temple University Hospital and was listed as in stable condition. A second bullet victim walked into Temple Hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm. According to police, he was also listed as a stableman.
Police said they were able to identify and detain the suspect using video surveillance. Police were also able to secure a firearm at the scene.
Police said vehicles and buildings were also hit.
A total of nine cartridge cases were marked at the scene.
