Copper wire cut from crane in Somerset County, police investigating

Somerset County, Pennsylvania (WTAJ) — State police are looking for clues about who was responsible for stealing copper and causing thousands of damages from cranes.

Sometime between midnight on September 15th and 1:00 on October 28th, an unknown individual stole stripped copper wire from equipment/machinery at Block 300 Foggletown Road, Brothers Valley Township, Trooper wrote in a news release on Tuesday.

About $4,000 in damage was caused to the crane and $2,000 worth of metal was seized. Police said the copper wire had been severed.
