Bethlehem police investigate shooting

Bethlehem police on Monday are investigating the shooting.

“At this time, police are not searching anyone in connection with the investigation and there is no danger to the public,” a post on the city police Facebook page said.

According to the post, there was a shooting at Block 1100 of Hellertown Road. A portion of the road between Silvex Road and Cherry Lane will be closed to southbound traffic during the investigation.

Police said drivers should expect delays and avoid the area if possible.

A wake-up call has been made to the police for more information.
