Berks Agricultural Resource Network Calls for Agricultural Award Nominations

Berks Agricultural Resource Network, barn, seeks nominations for several award categories aimed at recognizing and encouraging excellence in agriculture-related fields.

The 2022 Bountiful Burks Awards recognize individuals, groups or projects that have distinguished themselves by achieving and/or promoting best practices in agriculture or related businesses.

The 2022 Agriculture Journalism Awards will recognize three examples of agriculture articles, blog posts, podcasts or TV spots published between October and September.

The 2022 Agricultural News Awards will recognize three exemplary agricultural newsletters, social media posts, etc. published between October and September.

The 2022 Tressie S. Caton Women in Agriculture Award is named after Caton, a dynamic and vibrant member of the Pennsylvania Agri-Women organization. The award recognizes excellence in agriculture-related fields such as science, economics, agriculture, veterinary medicine and philanthropy.

The nomination must include a 250 word typed personal statement or will. All candidates must live in Berks.

Submissions must include your name, email address, home address, and phone number. The deadline for submission is his October 28th.

Entries can be sent to barnberks@gmail.com or mailed to Berks Agriculture Resource Network, Attn. Bountiful Burks Awards, 846 Fleetwood Lions Road, Fleetwood PA 19522.

Awards will be presented at a BARN Farm to Fork ceremony beginning November 16 at 5:00 pm at Reinhart’s Tree Farm in Jefferson Township.
