15-year-old dies in Youngstown shooting

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Youngstown Police have confirmed that one person was killed in a shooting on the city’s south side.

Police said a brawl broke out at a birthday party, resulting in a shootout.

A 15-year-old woman was beaten and died from her injuries.

It happened late Saturday night at Martha’s Boulevard Tavern on the corner of Southern Boulevard and Ravenwood Avenue.

Due to an ongoing investigation, Southern Boulevard is closed from Midlothian to Ravenwood.

A dozen Youngstown police cars and ambulances surround the company. There are crime scene tapes and at least seven evidence markers of him in the parking lot.

Reporters at the scene report about a dozen people standing outside the building.

Police have not disclosed whether there are any suspects.
