Youngstown, Ohio (WKBN) – The Institute of Education and Learning at Youngstown State University wants to help students feel comfortable in class.

Professor Alicia Prieto Langarica led a conversation on Thursday about who, why, and what educators are teaching.

She hopes this will allow students to incorporate external experiences and hardships into their learning.

“When you go to college, every professor seems to say,’Oh, I want you to be creative,’ but if I ask you not to be yourself, be creative. Is really difficult. “You can be creative, but don’t talk like you talk outside the classroom. This is where we talk in a particular way,” said Prietran Galica.
