WVU evacuates under the threat of a bomb and closes its downtown campus

Morgantown, West Virginia (KDKA)-The University of West Virginia evacuated and closed its downtown campus under the threat of a bomb, but an hour’s search found nothing.

The university said the threat was summoned by Morgantown police on Tuesday.

The university said it had taken great care to close the academic and administration building on the downtown campus and Mountain Rare in Morgantown.

Police looked for suspicious things in the campus building, but found nothing, the university said.

Normal activity can be resumed on Tuesday and the building will resume on Wednesday.
