Woman hit by trailer on PA turnpike
WASHINGTON, Pennsylvania TWP (WBRE/WYOU) — State police reported an incident in which a woman was hit by a trailer-trailer on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Officers were called to a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian near mile marker 69.6 on the PA Turnpike in Lehigh County around 1:50 p.m. on May 5, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.
Police say a 27-year-old woman from Philadelphia got out of her 2007 Honda CRV parked on the shoulder of the road, drove into the roadway, and was hit by a trailer.
The woman was seriously injured and taken to Lehigh Valley Cedarcrest.
