A woman who was attacked by a police car overnight in Camden County, New Jersey, died.
The crash occurred south of the intersection of Woodlin and the mountains. Ephraim Street in Woodlin around midnight.
The woman who was later beaten died, according to Dan Keeshan, a spokesman for Camden County. The policeman was taken to the hospital and later released.
Police spent hours investigating the wreckage early Thursday morning and cleaning it up prior to the morning rush. At some point, I could see a police car being towed from the scene.
It was unknown whether police were wearing police car lights or sirens at the time of the wreck.
The New Jersey Attorney General’s office and the New Jersey State Police are leading an investigation into exactly what happened, county officials said.
