Last year’s parade was canceled due to a pandemic, but the revival of the Boyertown Halloween Parade Association’s annual Halloween parade on October 23 brought spectators to the crowd along the parade route.

Lynn Levan of the Boyertown Halloween Parade Association said:

Levan estimated that the number of entries for this year’s parade was low because it was not possible to accurately estimate the number of people who participated in the parade, but pointed out that the parade was a great ad and more companies participated.

Some companies participated without being judged, while others competed to win the trophy. H & K Group Inc. won a commercial trophy for a decorated school bus and a scary character sitting in it.

The parade was attended by scouts, dance groups, marching bands, clubs and community organizations, all dressed to entertain, scare and enjoy.

Levan wants the parade to provide the community with a sense of unity, hope and freedom.

“Moreover, King Frost thinks we’re still one of the biggest in the region,” she said of the popularity of the Boyertown Halloween parade in Berks County.
