A longtime Pennsylvania State University professor was indicted Tuesday after investigating trail camera footage that showed a man having sex with a dog in Ross Rock State Forest.

State University student Themis Matzoukas, 64, was caught on camera having sex with his dog near a bathroom in Ross Rock State Forest on April 13, according to a criminal complaint filed by the State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. was taken.

Matsuukas was identified by park rangers by a North Face backpack that was seen on camera footage of the April 13 incident. The backpack was also present in trail camera images dating back to 2014 that showed Matsuukas naked from the waist down, except for his socks and shoes, according to the complaint.

The Rangers issued a search warrant for Mr. Matzoukas at his State College home on June 9. According to the complaint, Matsoukas was “obviously nervous” and told the rangers, “It’s over, I’m dead, you don’t understand, I’m doing this to vent my frustration.”

While executing the search warrant, rangers found “all the items” listed in the warrant, including a backpack and a ski mask that were seen on camera footage on April 13.

“It is inappropriate to comment at this time,” his attorney Matthew McLenahen said Wednesday.

Matsoukas was charged with misdemeanor charges of public indecency, indecent exposure, sexual intercourse with an animal, and summary charges of animal cruelty and disorderly conduct. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 19 in Huntingdon County.
