The finale of the Orioles’ two-game Interleague series against the Chicago Cubs rained nearly two hours late on Wednesday.
The team will form a contest at Camden Yard on August 18, which was previously a holiday at 3:05 pm. Tickets for Wednesday’s postponed games can be redeemed for make-up games or redeemed for other Orioles home games this season.
The Orioles will play 17 games in a row from August 5th to 21st, with a one-game meeting scheduled for August 11th in Boston.
Baltimore won 9-3 in the first and only game of the series on Tuesday, leaving the Orioles 3-4 on the home stand. They will start a four-game series in Kansas City on Thursday, delaying rotation by one day. Jordan Lyles, Bruce Zimmermann, Tyler Wells and Dean Kremer begin the series, and Kyle Bradish will open the first Orioles series in Toronto this season.
Prior to Wednesday’s rainout, Orioles manager Brandon said it was “possible” for clubs to put players on the restricted list of trips to Toronto as a result of COVID-19 vaccination status. Refused to provide. Unvaccinated players are not allowed in Canada.
