West Valley City, Utah (AP) — Employees of the Utah Reptile Center are recovering after a crocodile pulls her into the enclosure during a presentation.

The crocodile began to bump and kept its jaw fixed to the handler while she struggled to be free.

One of the guests, later identified as Donnie Wiseman, shouted, “There was a problem here!” Before jumping into the water and climbing onto the reptiles.

Another bystander guided the children in tears, the video showed.

The handler quietly instructed Wiseman and another man, Todd Christopher, to help her escape from the pool. Wiseman stayed on the crocodile and fixed the crocodile until the woman was free.

Christopher’s wife, with a nursing background, began first aid before the paramedics arrived at the scene.

A West Valley City company said on Sunday that handlers were “smoothly recovering.”

“These gentlemen could have been able to stay in a safe zone, as most of us do, but instead helped them jump into the situation and secure the crocodile on their own initiative. “The company said in a statement. “Their help, coupled with the training of our staff, probably saved her life and limbs.”
