Upper Melion — The Upper Melion Police Department is investigating a shooting near the Philadelphia Children’s Hospital in King of Prasha, injuring a man.
According to a report released by Upper Melion PD, UMPD was reported to have been fired in the areas of North Gulph Road and Goddard Boulevard around 9:39 pm on Wednesday, April 27. Early reports indicate that the shot was fired in the parking lot of the Philadelphia Children’s Hospital. Police arrived at the scene and the hospital was closed. After that, it turned out that the shot was actually fired in the parking lot of the Smith Valley Forge Apartment Complex (580 S Goddard Blvd, King of Prussia PA 19406). Smith’s apartment building is directly adjacent to the Philadelphia Children’s Hospital. The hospital was closed for about an hour.
At the location of the shooting, on the sixth floor of the parking deck, police found multiple shell casings and bullet debris. Field evidence showed that at least two shooters were firing at each other. Officers also found blood on the ground in the parking lot. After a while, Upper Melion police received a report of a 33-year-old man who had a gunshot wound at Paoli Hospital. The man had arrived at Paoli Hospital on a ride-sharing service. Later, when the shooting took place, it was discovered that a male victim, a female spouse, and a 3-year-old child were heading from the parking lot to the interior of Smithville. Immediately after shooting, a silver Honda sedan and a white Mazda sedan were seen leaving the multi-storey car park. A few hours later, the vacant Silver Honda was in an apartment complex a few miles away. Blood was found inside Honda. This indicates that an additional person was injured during this shooting.
The Upper Melion Township Police Department is actively investigating this shooting. UMPD generally seeks information about the occupants of the two vehicles described. Police believe that the silver Honda was involved in the shooting, and the residents of the white Mazda are considered involved in the incident. If you have any information about this shooting, please call the Upper Melion Township Police Station (610-265-3232).
