Two teens hurt and another in custody after being stabbed in Hatfield Township’s elementary school playground – NBC10 Philadelphia

After being stabbed in a playground outside Montgomery County Elementary School, two teenagers were hospitalized and another was detained.

Police responded to Oak Park Elementary School in Hatfield Township’s 500 Squirrel Lane around 5:20 pm on Monday. When they arrived, they found two teens suffering from multiple puncture wounds in the rear outside playground.

Both victims were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital for further treatment. Authorities have not yet revealed their condition.

A teenage boy was later detained in connection with the incident. Police have not identified him because of his age.

“Such tragic events are always upset,” a North Penn school district spokesman wrote in a released statement about the incident. “We want to ensure that the safety of the Oak Park community is our number one priority. We thank the local police and NPSD for their quick response to tonight’s event.”
