Two Mercer County Cases, LeVar Brown and Romonda Oatis, Part of Unrelated Federal Lawsuits

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – One man was convicted and another pleaded guilty in connection with an unrelated federal lawsuit outside Mercer County.

Former Sharon’s son, 33-year-old Le’Var Brown, who now lives in Eastman, Georgia, was sentenced to 57 months in prison on firearms charges. He was also ordered parole for three years after his release.

Investigators said Brown had three guns inside Sharon’s house on October 1, 2021, as well as three guns at his girlfriend’s house in Sharon.

Brown is not allowed to carry a gun due to a 2018 drug trafficking conviction.

In a separate case, Farrell’s Romonda Ortiz, 48, pleaded guilty Wednesday to conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine.
