Timothée Chalamet has finished shooting “Wonka”.
The 25-year-old actor acts as the first part of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and plays the leading role in a musical film centered on a younger version of the iconic Roald Dahl character Willy Wonka.
Timothy has been filming in Lyme Regis, Dorset for several weeks, and “Call Me by Your Name” appears on the screen for the first time. I plan to return to the United States in the next few days.
Flick is due out in March 2023, with Timothy leading an ensemble that includes Keegan-Michael Key, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, and Matt Lucas. The cast also boasts Jim Carter, Lich Fulcher, Patterson Joseph, Kara Lane, Colin O’Brien, Natasha Rothwell, Raki Tuckler and Erie White.
With the exception of the young Willy Wonka, each part of the cast has not yet been revealed.
“Wonka” watches the character’s adventures and sets them to include song and dance numbers before opening the chocolate factory.
The film is directed by Paul King, who co-wrote the script with Simon Farnaby while produced by David Heyman.
Timothy plays Wonka on the big screen after the late Gene Wilder first brought the character back to life in 1971’s Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, before Johnny Depp played a role in Tim Burton’s 2005 film. Become the third star’Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’.
Warner Bros. has been working on the film for years, previously considering Tom Holland, Ryan Gosling, Donald Glover, Ezra Miller and others as iconic roles.
