Tilden Township Teen Earns Eagle Scout Rank

Lucas Bratt, 18, the son of Chris A. and Leon C. Bratt of Tilden Township, earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

In his Eagle Scout project, Bratt cleared weeds, placed fresh root coverings, and planted flowers in the Tilden Township City Hall.

He is a member of Troop 184, sponsored by the Church of St. John’s Lutheran in Hamburg, a patrol leader, representative of the Order of the Arrow, and a webmaster.

He won a religious award to God and me.

His special activities include the Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation Summer Camp. Pine Grove weekend camping trip. Canada canoe trip. Poconos pedal and paddle camping trip. Gettysburg camping trip. Kayaking down the Schuylkill River. Camping trip to Ohiopyle State Park. Cave exploration; Visit to Flight 93 Memorial and Fort Nesse City.

Bratt has earned 23 merit badges.

He is a member of Kitatiny Lodge No. 5, the Order of the Arrow Trials.

He was a senior at Hamburg High School and was a member of Soccer, Soccer, Athletics, Cross Country Teams, Bands, Jazz Bands and the National Honor Society. He is also a member of Ontelaunee Jr. Grange and Virginville Grange and participates in road cycling.

Bratt will study electrical engineering at university.
