The Terry Rozier Foundation donates 175 coats to children in Youngstown, Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The YMCA gave 175 children new coats on Sunday.

This is the fifth year the Terry Rozier Foundation is giving away giveaways and one of the biggest ever.

The foundation partnered with Puma, City Kids Care and the YMCA to donate coats to children at Youngstown City Schools.

NBA player Rozier was born in Youngstown and wants to help the city’s youth.

“He attended high school in Cleveland, but his heart is really in Youngstown and the kids of Youngstown,” says Tom Gachse, president and CEO of the YMCA of Youngstown.

Rozier’s sister Tre’Dasia has cerebral palsy and is passionate about helping children with disabilities.

“When we look at these kids and where we come from, it really touches our hearts because Terry was once one of those kids. Rozier’s mother and , says Gina Tucker, co-founder of The Terry Rozier Foundation.

The foundation plans to host another giveaway next year.
