The prosecution continues to file proceedings in the Sheldon Jeter Jr. trial.

The prosecution continued the proceedings in the Sheldon Jeter Jr. trial at Beaver County Hall on Tuesday. Aliquippa’s 23-year-old Jetter was charged with murder in May 2020 after being shot dead by Tyrick Pew, 30. The defense claimed that the two were best friends and were not responsible for the deadly shootings at Aliquippa. Testimony from investigators and experts on Tuesday focused on two important areas when they made their claim to Jeter in the killing of Pew. These two areas are Jeter and the cars that belong to his room. The car was processed for evidence after the shooting. Experts testified that gunshot residues were found inside. The car was seen in a video driving near a murder scene around the time of the shooting. The second focus was on Jeter’s room. Investigators said they found a gun under the mattress with the same caliber as the cartridge case found on the scene. Some ammo boxes lacked bullets, but some were not of the same brand found in the field. Jeter’s defense against the cross-examination pointed out that when he tested Jeter the day after the shooting, he found no bullet debris in Jeter’s hands. They also continue to ask questions about the management process when Jeter’s vehicles were processed by state police. The trial continues on Wednesday.
