The Lewisberg Arts Council announces its 22nd Art Walk in November of this year | Art

Lewisberg-The Lewisberg Arts Council presents Stroll Through the Arts, a showcase of talented local artists from November 6th to 14th in downtown Lewisburg.

More than 30 artists from the Susquehanna Valley region will showcase artwork from pottery, textile art and woodwork to watercolors, oil paintings, acrylics and photography throughout downtown Lewisberg. There are genres of art, historical art, and edible art, and we offer something that suits all art tastes!

This year, visitors have plenty of time to browse the works on display. The event is open to the public free of charge and runs for nine days from noon on Saturday, November 6th to Sunday, November 14th.

To provide access to art throughout the event, most artists will display some of their work in the store’s windows, in addition to the artwork displayed in the store. A QR code is attached to the poster posted at each walking stop. When scanned on a mobile phone, the QR code not only links to the artist’s contact information on the Arts Council website, but also provides the general public with the opportunity to purchase artwork directly from the artist.

More than 20 “walk stops” will be set up between Second Street and Six Street on Lewisberg’s Market Street. All artists and activities will be marked on a customized Google Maps posted to the Lewisberg Arts Council Website.. A link to Google Maps will also be posted on the Lewisberg Arts Council Facebook page.

In addition to the single artist exhibition, this year’s Stroll Stops will also feature a collection of multiple artists, including 2D artwork created by Lewisburg Area High School art students (All Star Bagels, 300 Market Street). It contains. Brushstrokes Employees (Brushstrokes Art Supplies and Framing, 340 Market St.); Everyone: Identity, Selfishness, Expression Beyond Portraits (Samek Downtown Gallery, 416 Market Street); Images by members of the Lewisburg Photo Club (Samek Downtown Gallery, 416 Market Street) First National Bank, Pennsylvania, 311 Market Street). Works from members of Agricultural Land Conservation Artists in Central Pennsylvania (Bullantap House, 605 Market Street).

“We are very fortunate that art-minded business owners are just as happy to host the artist’s work as they are preparing for the busiest season of the year,” said the Arts Council. Says President Dela Hutchison. “I hope everyone who appreciates this will find a way to express their gratitude by yelling at the business on social media, stopping by to express their gratitude, or above all, by supporting them with their purchases. hoping. .”

In anticipation of the next holiday season, the Holiday Shopper’s Pass will be available to most downtown businesses. The pass is valid on Fridays and Saturdays from November 26th to 27th, with 15% off one item at each participating merchant.
