The Big School Championship Game will be an undefeated battle – wake-up call

Both Parkland and Mullenberg Township won the semi-final round playoff game on Wednesday night and will play in the Big School Championship game of the Lehi High Valley Boys High School Summer Basketball League at Whitehall High School on Thursday night.

Both Trojans and Murren are 14-0, so it’s an undefeated battle.

The Parkland-Mullenberg Township match begins at 7 pm and follows a small school title game set on a 6 pm chip between Northwestern Lehi and Socon Valley. The Tigers are 12-1 and the Panthers are 10-3.

Parkland defends the Pennsylvania Eastern Conference and District 11 6A Champion. Mullenberg Township will enter the 16-7 season. Mule’s lost to Cedar Cliff 55-54 in two slow free throws in the first round of the District 3 6A tournament.

Mullenberg Township lost to Allentown Central Catholic 34-29 at the Cedar Beach Basketball Showcase Tournament last month. Parkland also participated in the same tournament, but because he was in Philadelphia Live, he had a roster full of JV players! Event at the same time.

In courtesy of league co-director John Frevic, the scores for Wednesday night are:

Big school semifinal

# 1 Seed Parkland 60, # 6 Reading 49 … Joe Igel Basio 22.

# 2 Mullenberg Township 59, # 5 Executive Education 52 … Lewis Valentin 19.
