Works by Oscar winners Peter JacksonThe three-part series features a never-before-seen restored footage detailing his relationship with John Lennon. Paul McCartney, With George Harrison Ringo starr When they record their last album. The series will land on Streamer on November 25th, with subsequent episodes scheduled to air on November 26th and 27th.

Nearly 60 hours of invisible footage was originally filmed for Michael Lindsey Hogg’s 1970 documentary film. Jackson is the only person in 50 years to be granted access to this archived footage and over 150 hours of unprecedented audio. As you can see in the trailer (see below), the once grainy video has been upgraded to give viewers a clear view of the world’s most famous bands at key moments in their careers.

The audience will be returned to the group’s January 1969 recording session as they try to write 14 new songs in preparation for their first live concert in more than two years. Friendship is tense as the four men face nearly impossible deadlines, personal rifts, creative differences, and even Harrison’s temporary quitting of the band.

But alongside tension, the series also emphasizes the Beatles friendship and good humor. Lennon joked when Director Lindsey Hogg told the band, “Documentary is about to stop.” I think it’s taking off. McCartney responds with a laugh when he agrees with Lennon that things are going up. “I’m going here,” he laughed at himself.

In addition to behind-the-scenes footage, this documentary also includes, for the first time, the Beatles’ final live performance as a group, and an unforgettable rooftop concert at Savile Row, London.
