Steel River Playhouse will host three shows in August, including two at Kimberton Park Amphitheater.news

POTTSTOWN — As summer camps get into full swing, Steel River Playhouse artists are working hard to provide theater enthusiasts with three live performances.

The first two are outside the Kimberton Park Amphitheater.

“Aesop (Ah so a little) updated parable” will be staged at Kimberton Park on Saturday, August 14th at 10am.

“This is a great show for the whole family. Come to the Kimberton Park Amphitheater, bring a blanket and enter for free,” said Steel River spokeswoman Betsy Scott Chapman. “You will love the new spin of these children’s stories.”

The following week, on Saturday, August 21st, at 7:30 pm, you’ll find “Midsummer Night’s Dream” at the Kimberton Amphitheater. Tickets are $ 10 for adults and $ 5 for seniors with children under the age of 12 for free admission.

At the Steel River Playhouse in Pottstown is the popular show “Heathers-High School Edition” by participants in the Steel River Student Intensive Workshop.

The show features directing and choreography by Dan Dan, assistant directing and choreography by Lisa Hendrix, and music director by Irene Fields.
