State Report 4,178 new coronavirus cases, 142 additional deaths – CBS Pittsburgh

Harrisburg (KDKA) —Pennsylvania Health Department reports 4,178 new reports coronavirus Cases and 142 additional deaths.

This has resulted in 1,548,641 cases and 31,197 COVID-19-related deaths across the state since the pandemic began.

The COVID-19 hospital has 2,798 people throughout the state and the ICU has 681 people.

The state-wide positive rate for the week of October 15-21 is 9.2%.

According to the state, the total dose of vaccine is 13,665,475, with 6,433,783 people fully vaccinated. So far, 71.4% of Pennsylvania over the age of 18 have been fully vaccinated.

To date, 5,689,935 people have tested negative for COVID-19.

Across the state, there are 79,228 residents and 17,232 employees in licensed long-term care facilities and personal care homes. Of all deaths, 14,367 were residents of long-term care or personal care facilities.

The state also reports that 32,371 health care workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 during the pandemic.
