PHILADELPHIA (AP) — At least six people were injured, one of them seriously, in an early morning shooting outside a Philadelphia nightclub, officials say.
A man opened fire on a crowd outside the Trilogy nightclub in the Northern Liberties neighborhood north of the city center shortly before 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, police said.
A 26-year-old woman who was hit in the chest was taken to Jefferson Medical Center in critical condition, police said. Two 30-year-old women and one 31-year-old woman were listed in stable condition, as were a 29-year-old man and a 37-year-old man.
Captain John Walker told reporters that an altercation that began inside the club continued outside, escalating into a brawl, with one man firing at another and punching him and another victim.
The arrest was not immediately reported. Police said the man who showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound and the injured person seen on surveillance video at the gas station could be victims of the same incident.
