Siakam defeats short-handed Boston 115-112 in overtime

Toronto — Pascal Siakam scored the season’s highest 40 points and 13 rebounds before fouling, and the Toronto Raptors defeated the short-handed Boston Celtics 115-112 on Monday night overtime.

Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby each scored 14 points, Thaddeus Young and Gary Trent Jr. each scored 12, Scottie Barnes scored 10 before fouling out, and Toronto scored against the Celtics. I suffered a series of losses at the home of four games.

Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum (who have a sore knee) and Al Horford and Robert Williams III at the center, who played without a forward, and Boston suffered their fifth defeat in 29 games.

Miami recorded the longest defeat of the season and had the largest margin of 23 points in the heat since the 24-point victory in Atlanta on January 12.

Knicks 109, Bulls 104

New York — RJ Barrett scored 28 points, Alec Burks scored 27 points, and New York defeated Chicago to extend their winning streak to four games.

Obi Toppin scored 17 points for Nicks. The Knicks are the last play-in spot with the remaining 6 games, leaving the Eastern Conference 10th place behind the Atlanta by 4 1/2 games.

DeMar DeRozan scored 37 points in the Bulls, including 15 points in the fourth quarter. However, he missed the jumper and was asked for an aggressive foul in the last 45 seconds, shortening Chicago’s comeback attempt.

Cavaliers 107, Magic 101

Cleveland — Darius Garland scored 25 points and 12 assists to defeat Cleveland to Orlando in a game in which the Cavaliers sprained rookie big man Evan Mobley on his left ankle.

Mobley, third overall, landed at Franz Wagner’s feet while defending under the basket in the second quarter. After temporarily lying on the court, he stepped into the locker room and did not return to the game.

Lauri Markkanen scored 20 points, Kevin Love scored 19 points and seven rebounds, and Isaac Okoro added 11 points to the Cavaliers, who lost three games in a row.

The Cavaliers have closed their first winning season in four years. It’s the first time LeBron James has finished over .500 without being on the roster since 1997-1998.

Wendell Carter Jr. of Magic Power Forward had 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists, Ignas Brazdeiki had 13 points and Wagner had 10 points and 6 assists.

Nuggets 113, Hornets 109

Charlotte, NC — Nikola Jokić beat Charlotte with 26 points, 19 rebounds and 11 assists in the 19th triple-double of the season.

Aaron Gordon added 21 points and Will Barton scored 18 in the Nuggets, who won the season series split.

Miles Bridges scored 27 points and 11 rebounds, and LaMelo Ball added 22 points, 11 assists and 6 rebounds to Charlotte, dropping to 1-13 on the night of the second day. The defeat dropped the Hornets to 9th place at the Eastern Conference. This is an idle Brooklyn Nets half game.

Hawks 132, Pacers 123

Indianapolis — Bogdan Bogdanovich scored 29 points, leading Atlanta beyond Indiana.

Clint Capela and Kevin Huerter each contributed 22 points, and Capela added 15 rebounds to the 10th-placed Hawks at the Eastern Conference. Trae Young had 14 points and 16 assists.

Buddy Hield scored 26 points in the Pacers, who lost the playoffs for four consecutive games. Tyrese Haliburton had 25 points and 13 assists. Keifer Sykes added 16 points to Indiana and hit 4 out of 6 3 points.

Grizzlies 123, Warriors 95

Memphis, TEN—Desmond Bane scored 22 points, De’Anthony Melton and Dillon Brooks each added 21 points, and Memphis took second place at the Western Conference to win the short-handed Golden State.

Kyle Anderson added 13 points to Memphis. Memphis leads the third-placed warrior at the conference by five games. The Grizzlies won 5 consecutive victories and 9th victories in 10 games.

Jordan Poole led the Golden State with 25 points and Moses Moody finished with 18. Jonathan Kuminga scored 14 points after losing three consecutive Golden State defeats in seven games for the sixth time.

Spurs 123, Rockets 120

Houston — Dejounte Murray scored 33 points, the highest in his career, and San Antonio beat Houston to approach the final play-in spot at the Western Conference.

This was a four-game winning streak for the Spurs, who jumped to 10th place in the West in the Los Angeles Lakers half-game.

Keldon Johnson scored 21 points and Jakob Poeltl added 17 points to record 13 rebounds. This is because the Spurs dominated the interior, surpassing Houston by 72-30.

Rookie Jalen Green scored 30 points and Kevin Porter Jr. added 26 to the Rockets. Rockets won two games in a row.
