Sacramento, California (AP) — Six people were killed in an early Sunday morning gunfire after police in the state capital of California closed bars and nightclubs in downtown Sacramento, searching for at least one suspect. , 10 people were injured.

Sacramento police chief Kathy Lester said at a news conference that police were patrolling an area two blocks away from the Capitol around 2 am when they heard the shooting and rushed to the scene.
