AT&T, Verizon or T-Mobile? Map shows cell phone providers with the best coverage in Central Pennsylvania.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has created an interactive map that compares the coverage of cell phone providers. We took a closer look at his three biggest companies’ coverage: AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon.

Nationally, Verizon and AT&T cover the most services, covering 55.05% and 55.11% of the country respectively. Verizon has gaps in coverage around Nevada, Utah, Oklahoma, and Kentucky, while AT&T’s coverage appears to include Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.

Meanwhile, T-Mobile covers 35.3% of the country, according to the FCC. Its coverage appears to be stronger in the eastern half of the country than in the western half.

When it comes to the fastest 5G coverage tracked by the FCC (5G-NR, 35/3 Mbps), the tables are turned. T-Mobile has the widest geographic coverage of the big three providers.

Indeed, all three maps are much more speckled. T-Mobile’s high-speed 5G has reached about 12.5% ​​of the country, AT&T at 10.9% and Verizon at 8.1%.

Verizon looks strongest around the major cities, California and the East Coast, while AT&T looks better in the Upper Midwest and South. T-Mobile’s coverage is evenly spread across the map, with gaps scattered everywhere, especially in the sparsely populated areas of Western and Plains provinces.
