Ricky Gervais was afraid that the scene in the new series of “After Life” might be too shocking for Netflix.
The 60-year-old comedian replayed Tony Johnson’s role in the third season of the hit show, but Ricky admits that some scenes can confuse viewers.
Ricky, who became famous for playing David Brent in “The Office,” said:
“I cut it down and thought,’Even Netflix won’t release it.'”
Eventually, Netflix decides to give the scene a green light, and Ricky can wait for fans to see it.
Standup Star also claimed that the new season of “After Life” was “the best season ever”.
He told the Daily Star’s Sunday newspaper: “I’m very happy with it. It’s almost finished and it’s the best I’ve ever had.
“Each one of the cast is great. We did it through COVID, so it’s a double pleasure for us to achieve it.
“It’s a lot of fun to work with them. They make it easy. Really, always so much fun. We laugh every day. We really do.
“Each one of the cast is incredible … and I acknowledge all the achievements!”
The long-awaited third season of the show will air on Netflix during the holiday season.
And the award-winning comedian provided one insight into what fans can expect from the new series.
Ricky talked about Season 3 and said, “I’ll be out as close to or shortly as Christmas. Dogs won’t die. That’s the only spoiler I give!”
