The real estate agent Reading-Berks Association celebrated its 100th anniversary on March 15th.
R-BAR received its Charter as a Reading Real Estate Board from the National Association of Real Estate Agents on March 15, 1922. Wayne K. Reinbach was the first president of the association.
The name of the association was changed to the Greater Reading Board of Realtors in 1972 and again to the Reading-Berks Association of Realtors in 1993 to reflect the expanding footprint of the association and its members.
R-BAR represents more than 1,200 real estate professionals and affiliates in and around Berks County.
