Reading lost to Trois Rivieres on Saturday for three consecutive games.

The Lions completed the Royals’ three-game sweep with a 3-2 overtime victory. Forward Shawn St.-Amant scored a winning goal in the Trois Rivieres match in less than two minutes of overtime.

Forward Frank Dikiara scored in the second period and forward Cam Strong scored in the second half of the third period, drawing 2-2. The Royals never led the match.

Kirill Ustimenko has staffed the Reading net and made 39 saves. Lions outperformed Royals 42-30.

Prior to the game, Reading claimed a waiver of Danick Paquette. He didn’t play on Saturday.

Paquette was selected by the now obsolete Atlanta Thrashers in the third round of the 2008 NHL Draft. He played 19 games at the Royals in the 2012-13 season and is a former teammate of leading coach Kirk McDonald.

Paquette has played 325 ECHL games and 6 AHL games in his career and has taken action in various other leagues around the world. This season, veterans faced the Royals on November 24th at Trois Rivieres.
