Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey, OLB Odafe Oweh missed practice, but some important starters are back – Reading Eagle

Cornerback Marlon Humphrey and outside linebacker Odahu Owe were one of the nine Ravens who went missing in the open part of Thursday’s practice, but the team preceded the match against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. I returned a few starters to the field.

Patrick Mekari (ankle) on the right tackle, Center Blood Lee Boseman (shin laceration), Devin Dubanay (thigh) on the wide receiver returner, and Anthony Averett (shoulder / ankle) on the cornerback on Thursday after missing an injury on Wednesday. I went back to practice. Boseman was a full participant, but Mekari, Duvernay and Averett were limited.

Meanwhile, defensive end Calais Campbell became the first full participant on Thursday since reporting concussion symptoms earlier last week. He missed a week of practice and Sunday’s victory over the Cleveland Browns and was restricted to Wednesday. Cornerback Jimmy Smith (neck) was also the first full participant before the Ravens lost to the Miami Dolphins in the 10th week.

Rarely missed practice on Wednesday, and full-time participants Humphrey and Owe went out on Thursday with illness and shoulder injuries, respectively. In other defenses, cornerbacks Tavon Young (sick) and Chris Westry (thighs) missed their second consecutive practice. Defensive harness Brandon Williams missed the day off, but outside linebacker Jaylon Ferguson (illness) was restricted for the first time this week.

At the offense, tight-end Nick Boyle (knees), fullback Patrick Ricard (feet / thighs), and offense tackle Cedric Ogubueh (thighs) missed their second straight practice. Alejandro Villanueva on the left tackle missed due to a break. The wide receiver Miles Boykin (fingers) has been restricted again.

Attack coordinator Greg Roman told the Chicago Bears that Boyle, who played 10 attack snaps on Sunday 32 weeks ago, is “always getting better” before practice. But he admitted that Boyle hadn’t completely returned to the shape he had before surgery on his knee at the end of last season.

“He’s still used to things,” Roman said. “He will be the first to admit that he isn’t where he wants yet, but we continue to dosing him and take those steps up the ladder to get him back into his shape. I want to keep stepping on. But I think it will definitely be the process for the rest of the year. We fully anticipate it. And he will definitely be me for the rest of the year as well. It plays a big role in helping us, because even 70% of him is very valuable. “
