Man dies after shooting at Shell gas station in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – One person was killed in a shooting at a Youngstown gas station in Youngstown early Thursday morning.

Police were called to a Shell gas station on the 1900 block on South Avenue just after 2 a.m. The victim is a 26-year-old male.

Police said the suspect fled the scene and had multiple suspects in mind.

I noticed that the victim’s car window was blown out. Glass covered the parking lot.

Officers said the victim died from multiple gunshot wounds.

“The business has a well-lit gas station, a well-lit parking lot, and the police are very cooperative. I think some people come here after they leave the bar,” said Lieutenant Mohammad Awad.

Awad said the agency will release details on Thursday.

“We have recovered some evidence. We are processing that evidence, reviewing surveillance footage of the incident, and trying to identify exactly who did it.

He wanted to emphasize that they don’t think petrol stations are the problem.
