Princess Beatrice gave birth to a baby girl.
The 33-year-old royal family and her husband Edoardo Maperimotzi welcomed their daughter to the world on Saturday (18.09.21) at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.
The royal statement said: “Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi announced on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 23.42 that their daughter had arrived safely at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.
“Baby weighs 6 pounds and 2 ounces.
“All newborn baby grandparents and great-grandparents are informed and pleased with the news. The family wants to thank all the staff at the hospital for their excellent care.”
Princess Beatrice and her baby girl are “both working”, so she’s already looking forward to introducing her to Edoardo’s son, 5-year-old Christopher, from a previous relationship.
The statement explains: “Both her Highness and her children are doing well, and the couple are looking forward to introducing their daughter to their brother Christopher Woolf.”
This news is also posted on Princess Beatrice’s official Twitter account.
The message is: “We are pleased to share the news that our daughter arrived safely at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 23.42.
“Thanks to the midwifery team and the hospitals for their wonderful care.”
The princess and her property king’s husband tied a knot at a private ceremony in Windsor last July.
The ceremony was attended by Queen Elizabeth and other members of the royal family.
Beatrice and Edoardo were originally scheduled to marry in May 2020, but the coronavirus delayed that plan.
Buckingham Palace said the ceremony was “small” and was conducted in accordance with all relevant government guidelines.
The princess and her husband are believed to have started dating in 2018, but they didn’t appear together in public for the first time until 2019.
