Police respond to shootings in Northwest Reading

According to the first emergency report, the reading rescue team responded to the shooting in the northwestern part of the city, but later learned that the man had been attacked multiple times, perhaps six times.

The crew was reportedly initially summoned to 800 blocks on Ritter Street for shooting at around 5:30 pm.

Then they were told that someone was taking the victim in a private car.

The Reading Hospital and West Reading police were reportedly warned, but the private car did not arrive there.

Police and medical personnel said they had found a man with a gunshot wound on the upper torso on the streets of Miltymore and West Buttonwood, according to an urgent report.

Soon they found out that he probably had six multiple wounds.

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
